Midnight Message: Painting #54

Artists for A Pristine PlanetMidnight Message: Painting #54! Do you ever have Dreams that are so crystal clear that you just know you’ll remember every shred of them when you awaken in the morning?

I get those in the afternoon if I take a fiver – I wake up with images and ideas rockin’ and rollin’ – it’s actually where I get a lot of the idea for these paintings!

This was a particularly difficult image to prepare for online viewing because of the contrast of the red underpainting and the green-blue over painting. It appears darker here than the original.

Here is what the journal, mousey pad and pillow look like, too.

You Are the Light of My Life: Painting #50!

Artists for A Pristine PlanetSOLD. You Are the Light of My Life: Painting #50!

Ever been out on one of those full-moon nights where everything just kind of glowed?

In Hawaii, we have lots of nights like that. And I just happen to have a garden where I can go sit and enjoy those nights – lucky me! Here – I’ll share it with you!

I hope you have taken the plastic bull by the horn and stopped buying bottled drinking water by now. And I hope you’re starting to use cloth carry bags for groceries! Thanks – you are really helping when you just do those 2 things.

Silly Tall Tales – er – Tails: Painting #59!

Artists for A Pristine PlanetSilly Tall Tales – er – Tails: Painting #59!

Well, now we KNOW I’m this year’s recipient of the Corny Prize!

I kept thinking of Silly Tall Tales – er – Tails and tall tails, and this image just popped into my head. It’s all at once very silly, totally non-serious, fun, funky.

Makes me think of how delightfully silly some of the covers for the New Yorker magazine are. Couldn’t you see this on their cover? LOL –

Painting #28: Where Did We Come From and Where Are We Going?

Artists for A Pristine PlanetWhere Did We Come From and Where Are We Going? Painting #28.

I guess I kinda got caught by the boat metaphor doing yesterday’s The Future Is A Mystery.

I kept thinking of that saying, “We’re All One,” and thought if we’re all One, then there is no separation between us, our realities or anything in them.

So I ask myself, what is important? Not the Journey itself, but how we live it.

Painting #12: Moonlight

Artists for A Pristine PlanetPainting #12: TITLE: Moonlight.

One night recently the moon was full as a pumpkin, and I went down to the bench overlooking the canal near my house to just sit and look.

There’s a family of ducks who live nearby, and as I came closer, they up and swam off. This is the effect of their sassy departure. I sure like how it came out (look closely at the left side, as the dark blues are very dark and hard to see unless you look at the enlarged image).

To get this original painting for only $100, email me at this address: Lyon(at)AngelaTreatLyon.com with APP Moonlight in the subject line.

Get a mousey-pad of Moonlight here: http://bit.ly/moonlight-MP, or a quality print on paper or canvas here: http://bit.ly/moonlight-prints (starting at $104).
