I believe a musician’s job on the planet is to make sound tangible in our hearts and color visible.

Sometimes it’s just too late. But wait…maybe not…if I can just put in a good word, maybe he isn’t chewed so thoroughly badly and Bear will let him go….

I like how the sunset lights him up with peachy tones…and how the ripples in the snow light up, too, just like ripples on sand.

Painting #36: TITLE: Learning to Love Myself. How many times, as a coach, have I heard people tell me, “I want to get rid of my anger/fear/sadness/doubt”?

I wish I had a buck for each time – I’d be a millionaire plus! But our shadows are as valuable as our light! What if we loved our shadows as much as our brilliance?

All we need to do is stop resisting, and turn to the sun of our highest being, and the shadow drops back into its proper place. Good to get to know it, but not let it control us.

Painting #34: TITLE: I Will Keep You Safe Always. This is a Dream I had recently. The goose was (of course) the Golden Egg Goose, and it came to me for protection. I took it up in my arms – no small feat, since it was enormous – bigger than me! – and it shrank itself nicely to fit comfortably. I asked it if that meant that the Golden Egg would shrink, too, and it just had a good belly laugh.

Unstoppable: Painting #29. SOLD! WOOHOO!

What does this make you think of? Daddy’s home? Let me down! I’m a big kid now! I want to run! Never mind that I’m nekked! I want that! What else? Whatever it is, this kid is unstoppable!

This is a real departure for me – You’ve seen how I usually like to smooth the edges and blend the colors more. But I challenged myself to just go bold. I love the black lines – that took real courage for me to do – I was shaking in my pants!

Painting #26: TITLE: Raven Holds Me When I Weep

This image as a take-off from a painting I did in the late 90s.

I was in Santa Fe, New Mexico, living in my car with my dog (in the dead of winter at 7000 feet).

I was freezing my patooties off, and yet I had this dream where, no matter how miserable I felt, how broke I was, how cold I was, Raven was there to hold and comfort me.

And not only that, but the love Raven had for me radiated out and out and out into the entire cosmos. I had this dream many times that winter, even after I had found a studio to live in. I felt very blessed.
